Students protest HEC devolution

ISLAMABAD - Students of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology (FUUAST) took out a protest rally against the devolution of Higher Education Commission (HEC) from the campus to Aabpara Chowk on Monday.
Different student organisations of the university including Islami Jamiat Talba Islamabad, Pakhtun Student Organisation, Imamia Student Organisation, Saraiki Student Federation, Muslim Student Federation, Jammu Kashmir Student Council and Insaf Student Federation participated in the rally. Hundreds of students marched towards Abpara Chowk carrying banners and placards against the devolution of HEC. Condemning the devolution, they said it would create more problems in the higher education sector and spread provincialism.
